1. Who we are
AidKit SOS is published by TRISIMIO SL (Trimonkey), a Spanish company registered in Madrid, Spain. The app is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store.

2. Data we collect
AidKit SOS is designed to minimise data collection. We do not require an account and we never ask for personally identifying information.
- Medical ID (optional, on-device only): If you choose to create a Medical ID (allergies, blood type, medications, contacts), that information is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData storage. It is never transmitted to us.
- iCloud sync (optional): If you enable iCloud, your Medical ID and settings are synced across your Apple devices via Apple's iCloud service under your Apple ID. We have no access to iCloud data.
- Location (optional, only while using the AED map): If you grant location permission, your approximate location is used to display the nearest public defibrillator. Location is processed on-device only and is never stored or transmitted.
- Microphone / Speech Recognition (optional): If you use voice input to describe a symptom, audio is processed locally using Apple's on-device Speech framework. No audio leaves the device.
- Anonymous telemetry (optional): If enabled in Settings, we collect aggregated, anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck — a privacy-first analytics provider that does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and is fully GDPR compliant. Signals include app version, country, and basic events (e.g., "onboarding completed"). You can disable this at any time.
3. Data we do NOT collect
- Name, email or phone number
- Health or medical records beyond what you optionally enter in Medical ID
- Contacts or calendar
- Photos or any camera data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Behavioural or profiling data
4. Third-party services
AidKit SOS integrates only with Apple platform services (iCloud, MapKit, Speech, WidgetKit). We do not embed any third-party advertising, tracking or social SDKs. Crash reports, if enabled, are processed by Sentry without personal identifiers (device model and OS version only).
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
For EU users, the legal basis for processing is:
- Your explicit consent (for optional features like telemetry or location)
- Legitimate interest in providing a functional emergency reference app (for on-device features)
6. Data retention
Data stored on-device persists until you delete the app or clear its data. iCloud-synced data follows Apple's retention policy under your Apple ID. Anonymous telemetry (if enabled) is retained by TelemetryDeck for up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to export or delete. To delete your Medical ID, remove it from within the app or delete the app. For iCloud data, use Apple's Settings → Apple ID → iCloud tools.
For any privacy question, email us at dev@trisimio.es. We respond within 14 days.
8. Children's privacy
AidKit SOS is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Medical disclaimer
AidKit SOS is an educational reference. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical advice. The app is not a medical device under EU MDR 2017/745 or FDA regulations. In any emergency, call your local emergency services (112 in the EU, 911 in North America, 119 in Japan).
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
